The Black and White Lady
The Black and White Lady
The moment I was at the adoption building I froze from the stomach down, my eyes were glazed in fear, and I think I even soiled myself. I couldnt move, I wouldnt move I thought maybe if I refused they couldnt take me away, and I would go back home my cozy fireplace and eat from that big orange box of chocolate chip cookies that momma baked for me. Well, they werent really for me, they were for the people working at the adoption facility, but I pretended they were for me. I wanted to think mamma had made them special for me, so I snatched the box before we left and told her daddy had taken
I felt only disgust for all these years
Thinking of all the people that I forced into tears
All the lives that I had carelessly severed
And all the hardships there familys endeavored
The only thing I thought about what I wanted
Five grieving families and my ambitions, undaunted
I came through the window, unlatched and inviting
The feeling I had cant be explained in writing
I guess it was happiness, the most that could be felt
When I finally let go of my thick leather belt
I laughed as his body fell to the ground
I smiled as his heart ceased to pound
But my fuel had not run dry, I needed a new life
So I went quickly af
The king did not listen, did not understand
When he checked the border, the posts were unmanned
Where could they be? But the palace gate
For such a great king, such a cruel fate
They tied his corrupted hands and feet
His sinful deeds they would soon delete
They knocked off his flawless crown
Ripped of his pristine gown
When he stuggled to persuade
Not a thought was swayed
For his death was all they would understand
Now the dealer of death was under their command
He was beheaded there in the street
Oh it was such a sweet treat
But a short lived holiday indeed .
For civil war would soon follow in the country of Creed

Just as it was Before
Just as it was before
Lonely and dry this day comes
Swift and deadly its wind strums
Sharp and rocky its land lays bare
The old rattle snake is its only kingdom's heir
A commercial aircraft is taking its daily round
When a sand storm surrounds it, now smashed into the ground
Every way of escape, the deceiving sea seems to subvert
You are now the property of the unforgiving desert
Looking for nourishment, you walk for miles
Laughing at you, the desert denials
You hit the ground
